Shaving Foam Sensory Bag
- Take one medium or large zip lock bag.
- Squirt in some shaving foam.
- Drop in some food colouring.
- Seal the zip lock bag (don’t forget this part! – use duct tape if you feel the need).
Rocky had a grand old time bashing and squeezing away at this bag while in his high chair. He was also quite fond of throwing if over the side, so after a few minutes I taped it down. More bashing continued. We will definitely be doing this again and again, it will be really interesting to see how his play changes as he develops.
Pebble also had her own bag to play with. She loved squeezing the foam so that the colours mixed. Then she took both bags into the bath for play. I cut a hole in the corner of one bag so that Pebble could squeeze the foam out like “spaghetti”. The other bag was used with some cups to make potions.
I wish I had been able to take some snaps of her play, but I was busy juggling a wiggly worm of a baby who was fresh out of the bath himself. It’s probably for the best that I didn’t drop the baby just so that I could take photos, right?
