Happy Mother’s Day! I hope that you’re spending it with your mum, your daughter, your son, your gran, your great gran… or that special someone who is the ‘mum’ in your life. Special cyber hugs for all those who have lost their special someone and can’t spend time with them today. For all those who are still waiting, hoping, trying to become mums, I hope that your dream comes true in time for next Mother’s Day. I really, really do.
Here I am, on my third Mother’s Day as a mum and daughter-in-law, my thirty-third as a daughter and grand-daughter.
It seems like mere moments have gone by since I become a mum, but OH how my life has changed. For the better. Honest.
Here’s three years broken down into three photos. For me these photos capture my journey through motherhood so far.
The smug pregnant woman (god, how smug I was):
The holy-freaking-hell-this-shiz-just-got-real woman – day one of bringing baby home. Behind that smile lies fear. And exhaustion. And excitement. But mostly fear.
Now is good. Now is comfortable, enjoying the mum thing, beginning to think about starting the journey all over again….
What are you doing this Mother’s Day?
