I have absolutely bitten off more than I can chew this week! Let’s see now….
- prepare the family for our first interstate holiday <~ insert list of 647 things to do here
- wrap up end of term at school, including an excursion and concert (note to self BUY ELASTIC FOR RAT EARS)
- obstetrician visit and bubba check (finally got to hear the little buggas heart beat, cheeky thing was hiding last time!)
- dinner with friends, including one lovely lady visiting from Melbourne
- SERIOUS defuzz of lower half of body and taming of locks in upper half. It’s been a long winter and the sun in Queensland is beckoning!
- clean sheets and house before holiday, because I am an Organised Housewife now… and how lovely is it to return home to a clean house?
- invite bloggy friends to take over Octavia and Vicky while I am away, so that YOU, dear reader, won’t be missing out.
I think that’s about it. I shall count myself lucky to have so many ‘problems’ with my awesome job, gorgeous family and impending holiday….. and very much look forward to sitting by a pool (splashing in a pool with a toddler and giant pregnant guts) and sipping a cocktail (ok, perhaps a fancy juice).
This is my real life this week. What does yours look like?

You’re very wise to know when to pull back though. Take it as easy as you can. You teachers totally deserve a break!

That sounds pretty great. Funny how on the last days before a holiday we tend to exhaust ourselves twice as much – but then get to enjoy the holiday all the more.

Aren’t we strange? This holiday is so close now, I can almost feel the sand between my toes (and the skin peeling off of my shoulders).
