Teddy Bear’s Picnic Party: The Activities
We had about 15 children come along to Pebble’s party, aged from 3 months (!) to 10 years, but mostly in the 2 – 4 age range. I kept the activities very simple and unstructured. We are lucky to have a huge back yard with a swing set and a cubby, so that alone is plenty to keep a bunch of kids happy. I set up the following activities for children to join in with if they wished.
Colouring Table
I printed out some colouring pages from Sparklebox and popped them on the table in the lounge with crayons and pencils.
Play Dough Table
I printed and laminated bear play dough mats and put them on a table outside with some store bought play dough tubs. I used the bear mats in the Sparklebox Toy set and Three Bears set .
Book Basket
I went though our (huge!) collection of children’s books and picked out all the teddy bear related stores, then set them up them in a basket on a rug in the lounge room.
Picnic Rug and Tea Set
On the lawn we put out a picnic rug, a few teddy bears and one of Pebble’s tea sets.
Face Painting
Our niece, who has just completed a face painting course, offered to come and do face painting for the party. The kids loved it… and the adults too :) She did a fabulous job, thank you Naomi x

I totally love this. My little Cerys loves her teddy so I was thinking of doing a teddy theme for her 2nd birthday (which isn’t until July, but still…) so this will save me a lot of thinking. Wonderful xx
