Christmas Eve Traditions

Happy Christmas Eve! We’re celebrating by starting our own family traditions in our home, very similar to our own childhoods (and probably many other children around Australia and the world!). It feels so special to be starting these traditions properly with Pebble, now that she’s old enough to understand it all.

We put out some carrots, reindeer food (oats, glitter and candy hearts) and a bucket of water for the reindeer, as well a mince pie and a glass of milk for Santa. Pebble has chosen a spot under the tree for her sack and stocking, and we read some Christmas stories while listening to Bing Crosby crooning away. Of course one of the stories was The Night Before Christmas. We have a pop up version with some interactive pages (that are quite tricky for little fingers!).

Things may be a little quieter around here over Christmas and New Year while we’re busy enjoying the holiday with family and friends. I wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. Stay safe and hold your loved ones tight.
