Through her eyes

This week Pebble asked to use my camera to take photos of her ‘special things’. I don’t often let her use the camera because, well, it’s my special thing!I threw caution to the wind and gave her a quick photography lesson. She was soon off and away, so focused and intent on her subjects. I loved looking through the photos with her afterwards and listening to her talk about them.

This week I’m grateful for this window into the world through her eyes.

Thank you so much to everyone who linked up last week, it’s been so uplifting and heart warming to visit each of you and read your gratitude posts. Here are just a few had me smiling away to myself as I read:

  1. They’re great pics Pebble! She’s a natural! Popette loves taking photos with her Daddy’s iPod, I agree it’s fun looking through what she’s taken.xx

  2. Thanks for sharing my post with my “guide to gratitude” :-) I love this linkup because it inspires me to be more thankful for everything I have in my life.

This week I am VERY grateful for a husband willing to pick up extra shifts to cover our expenses, healthy food to eat, and health insurance for my mom who is recovering from a major surgery.

  3. Its good to see life through their eyes! Interesting what they can see at their height. My boys love to take photos, and videos with my camera…sometimes they surprise me with what they see and what they take.

  4. I gave miss three {almost four} my camera last month. It is such a gorgeous thing to do – so much pride and wonder in what they see and choose to capture. Although I too was terrified she may drop my camera! She’ll be getting her own (just a cheap compact digital one) for her fourth birthday so we can go exploring and take photos together. I can’t wait to see how excited she will be! :)

  5. These photos are so precious … what a lovely idea! and you can see she’s got artistic talent already! When I was pregnant, I got my 8 year old son to take lots of pregnancy photos of me (my partner took some, but my son is a lot more patient with the camera!). It’s really special for me to look at those pictures now and know that my little boy took them while I was waiting for my little girl to be born.
